for any dress but a black dress especially, a light champagne color is nice and subtle but a silver metallic is good for a rocker chic edgy look.


for black and red, I would stick with black thick cat-eye liner, not too thick a la Amy Winehouse, but a small wing is good for a statement dress


Light green looks really good with a soft lavender eyeshadow but be careful to only but a small amount and not look trashy.


Purple looks nice with silver lined all around the eye, mostly on the lid.


Dark blue or navy is rich looking with gold eyeshadow or silver if there is fancy beading to match them. Stay clear of red and pinks with that though, unless its a very rosy pink, but add silver liner to finish the look


Light blue looks amazing with coppery gold eyeshadow
