What color eyeshadow would look best with a red prom dress?

I have black eyeliner and a glitter crayon that I'm definitely going to use. I really like the color of the dress but I don't think I want to push the red too much, or else I think the color would overwhelm my date, lol. This just popped into my head as I was contemplating whether or not to get up this morning, haha. Thank you! What color eyeshadow would look best with a red prom dress?
Hey!

Alright well you have to pick if you want to highlight your eyes or your lips,, coz red dresses are pretty wow so you dont want to go overboard.

If you wanna highlight your lips, then i would suggest red lipstick, and this would look awesome if you have brown hair. and keep your eyes really natural.

otherwise i would so a smouldery black and grey, and keep the lips very neutral. just a basic smokey eye with a hint of silver in the corners would looks amazing.

Have fun at your prom

when unsure, use brown, white or black (neutral colors). you can do fantastic things with them to compliment your outfit.

if you want your eyes to stand out, get a light shade of pink shadow and take a pointed q-tip to apply that to the upper inner corners of your eye. you will barely notice it but it does work. do it to one eye, back up from the mirror and look for yourself. you can barely see that you did it, but look at how your eye stands out.

i got a lot of compliments the first time i did it. they said they did not know what i did, but that they really liked it. you can also use a pale white....light pastel colors that are subtle.
I think purple would look quite good, or a different shade of red. You could go with the theme of fire and include lots of golds, reds and oranges into your outfit...my friend did this- went to the prom without a date and came back with 6 boys numbers! :D Lol x
Red is a very overbearing colour so go natural, browns and creams and whatever you do don't where red lipstick it will be too over the top, Avon has really good eyeshadow kits, so you could try one of them.
try a natural shade such as a champagne or a brown. anything earthy and natural. you don't want to overpower the red.
A simple champagne-colored (shimmery neutral), would look great without being too overwelming. Try Mac's All That Glitters- it looks great on almost any skin tone.
Either smoky eyes, ('pursebuzz' on youtube), pale pink or no eyeshadow with big, big lashes :)
try either a smokey eye or just stay more light and use formal looking sparkles above the eyeliner
champagne.... or you could do the smoky eye look
